How do you Create a Timeline?

Saalem Aleikum!!! (Man, even Tunisia speaks Arabic!)

Way back at the beginning of the school year, we took a diagnostic to see what you knew and didn't know. One of the things that many students had a hard time with was timelines. Today we are going to learn what a timeline is, how to read a timeline, and how to make a timeline. We are going to do all of this, while also learning about the Ancient Egyptians!

DO NOW: Start immediately working on your classwork. There is an article about timelines for you to read. Then use the article to fill in the blanks in the Notes section on the next page.

CLASSWORK: In eBackpack, 1.11 Ancient Egypt Timeline.

CREATING A TIMELINE: After we have completed the classwork, you will then be creating your own timeline about the Ancient Egyptians. Using the piece of paper that Mrs. Moore has given you, create your own timeline to show the rise and fall of the Ancient Egyptian Civilization. Use History of Egypt on eBackpack to locate the required dates. Remember, you must write a one-sentence description of what happened at each date. Listed below are the required dates.

3100 B.C.
4500 B.C.
1200 B.C.
1050 B.C.
3200 B.C.
2700 B.C.
1750 B.C.
1550 B.C.
2200 B.C.

HOMEWORK: Finish Timelines. They are due at the beginning of class on Monday!
