Yesterday we started our section of North Africa. One of the most important parts of culture is N. Africa, is their religion. Religion in North Africa dictates a lot about how people live. We have already started to learn about this religion, Islam. Today we are going to learn more about the 2nd largest religion in the world.
DO NOW: Answer the following questions using what you remember from our discussions on West Africa
1. How did Islam spread to W. Africa?
2. What is a mosque?
3. Write down 2 other things that you know about the religion of Islam. (Does not have to be happening in Africa, could be anything about Islam.)
