Happy Friday!

Every year at school we have a goal, to get smarter and smarter. This year in Social Studies we are going to be travelling all over the world to learn about different cultures and countries. In 5th grade, you focused on geography! You are going to need to know your geography in order to be successful in 6th grade. Today we are going to see what you remember from 5th grade! That way, we don’t have to relearn things that you already know, but we get to go over things that maybe we forgot!

DO NOW: Grab 2 Bathroom passes from your table. Write your name and class group on them. DO NOT SIGN THEM OR DATE THEM. Then, take out your student survey and parent survey if you have them completed.

HOMEWORK: Have a great weekend!

Remember, the Parent Surveys and Student Surveys are due on Tuesday! Each day that they are late brings your grade down 1 point.

Hello 6th Graders and Parents!

Welcome to Ms. Moore's Social Studies Class. This is your class blog. Everyday there will be a new post with all the information and materials we will need for class. This blog will also have reminders about Homework, Quizzes, Prairie School activities, as well as shout outs to students for their hardwork and achievements.

Miss a class? This website is a place for you to find out all the notes, handouts, and announcements we used during class. Once you know the materials you used, you can go to eBackpack to find the documents.

Dog eat your work? Also in eBackpack you can find a copy of any document here for you to print off at home. If you have any questions about navigating the blog or documents page, or just need to chat, please feel free to leave a comment below.

DO NOW: Add this website to your bookmarks. (To do that, you click the box with the arrow at the top left corner, click the button "BOOKMARK", and click save)

Then, check to make sure that you have the "6th Social Studies" Calendar on your Calendar App. If you don't, click this link google.com/calendar/iphoneselect  and click 6th Social Studies.

Then, work on the Student Survey at your table.

HOMEWORK: Give the letter and survey to your parents. Bring it back by Tuesday, September 3rd!

Happy Blogging!!!
