When My Name Was Keoko Day 2

Annyeoghaseyo!  안녕하세요 (Hello! In Korean)

During war times, Propaganda is a key aspect of creating a sense of nationalism! We started to see some examples of Propaganda in chapters 6-9, and will look at them more today.

DO NOWGrab your journal and answer the following prompt:

Why is America called a ‘Melting Pot’? Write at least 5 sentences.

CLASSWORK: We will be discussing Chapters 6-9.

Then, we will discuss our next project!

HOMEWORK: Finish Propaganda poster, if not completed in class.

Start reading Chapters 10-14 in “When My Name was Keoko.” Then, answer the questions for Chapters 10-14 from When My Name was Keoko Questions in the Homework folder.

NOTE: Tomorrow is a workday. You will have time tomorrow to read the chapters as well.
