What is Hinduism and What do Hindus Believe?

To truly understand India’s culture, you have to understand their religion. Religion is a very important part of Indian life. There are many religions that began in India that are still around today. One of these religions, Hinduism, is the 3^rd most common religion in the world. Today we are going to learn about the religion of Hinduism and how it shaped the Indian culture.

DO NOW: Go up to Mrs. Moore and get a slip. Then, take your things and move to the appropriate table. Grab a classwork from the table and answer the first 2 questions. Use the board to help you.

CLASSWORK: 2.3 Hinduism. Mrs. Moore will pass out a copy. We will be simulating a Hindu society while we learn about the religion that shaped it.
